"Whisper", Arctic
(To fully appreciate this image, it needs to be viewed on a larger screen; notice the icebergs closer to the horizon)
This image wraps up, for me at least, the experience of our trip to the Arctic (2015).
The stronger patterns in the front of the image, giving way to the gentler waves, and those in turn relaxing into the smooth waters that create the serene reflections of the stormy clouds.
It is similar to life, is it not: the never-ending circle of trials and tribulations that are part of our existence, how they tend to work themselves out, with other issues always on the horizon.
Yet it is up to us to decide which waters we want to be in.
May you choose smooth sailing. From Arctic
The Ship and the Seagull
Bronze Award, 2021 Epson International pano Awards.
While on an evening stroll, these fantastic light beams broke through the dense cloud cover, perfectly illuminating the ship on the horizon. If you look carefully to the right of the frame, you will see the silhouette of a seagull , perfectly illuminated by the sun reflecting off of the ocean. From La Jolla
Scripps Pier
Scripps Pier is probably one of the most photographed piers, and with good reason.
No matter what time of day, lighting or tide level conditions you encounter, this pier always finds a way to draw you in.
On this particular day, the patterns in the sand were simply stunning.Scripps PierLa JollaCalifornia
