Wild Horses, Tonto National Forest, Arizona, USA. Known by the name of the river which is part of their habitad, the "Salt River Wild Horses" technically are not "true" Mustangs. Over the years, irresponsible horse ownwers had abandonned their unwanted horses in the desert, where they stared interbreeding with the Mustangs. Their population stared to grow rapidly, calling by some for the horses"removal". The passionate outcry of many a horselover led to their protection and responsible management. It is a treat to watch these magestic creatures roam freely in the desert, which actually is close to one of the largest cities in Arizona.

In The Spotlight
One of the positives that came out of the pandemic, was the small, wonderful discoveries I made in my own back yard. Here, a closeup of a flowering dill creates a striking closeup.
