    "Nap, Interuppted"

Volcanoes National Park. Mountain Gorillas. Treking for these amazing beings can be an arduos experience, but moments like this make it all worth it. All of the sudden, we stumbled upon this mom napping with her baby. After she held our gaze for a bit, she got up, baby crawling onto her back, and joined the rest of her family that was close by.

Wild Horses, Tonto National Forest, Arizona, USA. Known by the name of the river which is part of their habitad, the "Salt River Wild Horses" technically are not "true" Mustangs. Over the years, irresponsible horse ownwers had abandonned their unwanted horses in the desert, where they stared interbreeding with the Mustangs. Their population stared to grow rapidly, calling by some for the horses"removal". The passionate outcry of many a horselover led to their protection and responsible management. It is a treat to watch these magestic creatures roam freely in the desert, which actually is close to one of the largest cities in Arizona.

    "A Child of the World"

The more I worked on it, the deeper it went, the more emotions it evoked. Maybe because I remember that moment so well: this young boy running out of the woods onto the dirt road we were driving on. Maybe it is the many stories being told by his face, his handmade helmet, his clothing. Maybe it is the fear, the hope, the curiosity, the shear innocence that is being run over by the harsh realities of daily life. It is moments like this that make me so very grateful for the life I have been so lucky to live. And it is moments like this that remind me I, we all, can do better. We all can do so much more to change this world to be a better place...... Uganda
